An archipelago of little branches
Colorite Group was made up of a disparate network of isolated sites. Sending large graphic design or print files between sites was laborious. Files were burned to disc and couriered between offices. Along the way, they sometimes got lost or corrupted.
Need for bandwidth & speed rising
Each site was running its own separate IT system creating a serious operational challenge in order to meet the speed and bandwidth demands of move increasingly massive files between sites.
Fibre connects and unites
The smart move – and logical – choice was adopting fibre. Colorite Group now has fibre connections at its Auckland, Hamilton and Christchurch sites with bandwidth ranging between five to 50MB.
Jobs are turned around fast and disparate sites are more connected to each other
Operators can now ‘drag and drop’ multiple-gigabyte files from one site to another. Turnaround for jobs has gone from being measured in hours and days to minutes. Workload can be shared across the group and offsite backup is a reality.
