Today Telecom has advised that it will announce a revised time frame for the structural separation of its business upon entering into a contractual arrangement with Crown Fibre Holdings for the Ultra-Fast Broadband (UFB) project.
We’d already previously said we’d aim to structurally separate Telecom by the end of June 2011. That would have required us to have reached a contractual arrangement with Crown Fibre Holdings (CFH) last year for this time frame to be achieved, however, we were only confirmed as a negotiating partner for the UFB rollout in mid-December.
We’re currently in detailed negotiations with CFH and the final time frame for demerger will be determined when we’re able to reach an agreement with CFH.
