Release date: 19 August 2010

Teams from Gen-i won the Supreme Award for Platform Value Partner of the Year and the Reseller of the Year Award, while Gen-i’s learning business,
Auldhouse, won the Learning Solutions Partner of the Year award – for the fourth year running.

The Microsoft Partner Awards are New Zealand's premier ICT awards and recognise the outstanding work of Microsoft partners during the past year.

Gen-i's Head of Procurement, Andrew Allan, is elated with the outcome.

"This incredible result is a reflection of the hard work of our people this year - I'm thrilled to be a part of such a dedicated, focused team,” he says.

“The awards confirm our considerable investment in Microsoft tools and capability is well aligned with their measures of success.”

Head of Auldhouse Melanie Hobcraft is absolutely delighted with her team winning the Learning Solutions Partner of the Year award for the fourth consecutive year.

"This is a brilliant result for our team and truly cements our place as New Zealand's leading ICT training provider."

Despite being the only finalist in the category, winning was not guaranteed, Hobcraft adds. "Our entry was judged against the performance of other Microsoft
Learning Solutions partners around the world.

"This win confirms that Auldhouse is not only Microsoft's leading Learning Solutions partner in New Zealand, but is up there with the best in the world."

The national licensing team won the Reseller of the Year Award for its proactive engagement and commitment to year on year growth through great marketing campaigns and strong selling.

The Supreme Award Platform Value Partner of the Year Award also went to the national licensing team for an Integrated Microsoft Platform it delivered to one of Gen-i’s client. The solution allowed the client to upgrade existing infrastructure, and implement new infrastructure seamlessly, including moving desktops from XP to Windows 7.

Twenty awards were presented at the Microsoft New Zealand Partner Awards this year. See the full list of winners.

Gen-i's success at the awards once again demonstrates how they're delivering solutions that make our clients' world work brilliantly.
