Chris Quin, CEO of Gen-i Australasia, leads a team of passionate people responsible for delivering converged technology and telecommunications solutions to corporate, government and business clients across New Zealand and Australia.

Chris firmly believes that innovation and technology can deliver brilliant social and economic outcomes to help unlock the potential of this region, its people, businesses and communities.

Along with his Gen-i role, he plays an active part in organisations that foster innovation and is a board member of The Icehouse, the New Zealand Information & Communications Technology (NZICT) Group and the New Zealand Centre for Social Innovation.

In addition, Chris is a founding partner and mentor for the Omega programme, which assists skilled immigrants, and is an active participant in Microsoft and HP’s Asia-Pacific advisory boards.

In July 2010, Chris was awarded an Emerging Leader Award in the Sir Peter Blake Leadership Awards for his leadership achievements and contribution to the community.

Chris was also awarded the Chairman’s Award at the 2010 TUANZ Innovation Awards.

Under his leadership, Gen-i is transforming how it delivers hosted services and integrated ICT solutions to organisations across New Zealand and Australia.

Chris led the merger of Gen-i, Computerland and Telecom Advanced Solutions in 2004, and developed the business into New Zealand’s leading integrated ICT services group, achieving year-on-year business growth and expansion into Australia.

Before joining Telecom in 1991, Chris was Chief Financial Officer for Mitel and a Financial Accountant at Orica (formerly ICI).  

Chris has a Bachelor of Commerce and Administration from Victoria University in Wellington.
