We have committed to being open and honest in our communications with clients about any issues affecting our service to clients.
On 20 July, some XT clients may have experienced intermittent issues with XT mobile voice services yesterday afternoon. Data and SMS (text) services were not affected at any time.
The problem was intermittent and additional attempts to use make voice calls worked for most clients. It affected only a small proportion of XT mobile voice calls.
We located the cause of the issue and invoked our fail-over mechanisms for the system. This worked as planned, and the network is now running as normal.
While the issue only affected a few users and was quickly resolved, we wanted you to understand the facts and nature of the problem. We apologise to clients who were impacted.
