Yes, it can run for 2-3 hours if the vehicle ignition turned off.

Will the unit still transmit location data if it is outside Mobile coverage?   
No, but the unit will maintain up to 500 events and then transmit them all once it is back in a Mobile coverage area.

Am I charged per data session?
No, the data is included in the monthly fee.
